With several different types of resumes available, it is important that you use the correct format that best aligns with the position or company you are applying for. As you migrate through your professional journey, you will notice each employer prioritizes different skillsets and abilities for this reason it is essential to keep a fresh and update version of your resume at all times!

Cover Letters

Cover letters serve as a way to formally introduce yourself to employers, while also expressing your interest in the company and drawing attention to your resume. The cover letter allows you to display your personable skills to an employer while also addressing information that might not be included in your resume. Cover letters fall into three different categories: The application letter (invited), the prospecting (uninvited), and the networking letter.

Follow-up/Thank-you letters

The follow-up letter serves a couple of purposes. The first one being to relink with a professional connection to revive an occupation pursuit. The second purpose is for an opportunity to reconnect following a networking event such as career fairs, meetings, or possibly interviews. In this case, the follow-up letter is normally sent after a Thank-you letter. Thank-you letters are sent almost immediately after an interview as a way to reiterate your interest in a position or field.

Reference Sheets

Reference sheets are very common in the job search. Most employers ask for previous job or college references in an application or after an interview. Reference sheets vouch for your skills, qualifications, and character. It is best to have reference sheets ready so they can be sent quickly. They should also be consistent and relevant references.

Interview Etiquette

Good interview etiquette is one of the most important portions in the job search—and especially one that demands time for preparation. It is important to remember each individual interview is different from the next and may have different procedures and protocol, depending on the employer. Areas in interviewing range from how to dress, grammar, manners, confidence, and punctuality.

LinkedIn Profile Writing

A social networking site designed specifically for the professional community. The goal of the site is to allow registered members to establish and document networks of people they know and trust professionally to support your career journey.

Mock Interview

A tailored mimic interview simulated to prepare you for your real interview. Giving you the confidence and strategy to get the job you desire.

Image Consulting

Although the interview process within itself is important, your image and the way you present yourself could be the defining reason for an employer moving forward or not. It is important to remember that your image is the external representation of yourself. Your physical likeness, sound, and association represents you and your brand, which should align with your business aspirations.

Career Bio

A career bio is a description of a person’s career or passion. Areas within the bio include education, accomplishments, and experience. The career bio serves as a way to give little knowledge and history to employers prior to meeting you, which should ultimately give them a background of your capabilities to evaluate.
